Is Pixar Place about to get an animated Luxo? -- Construction photos

nothing too crazy, but i thought ya might be interested.. and again, straight from D23. =)

who knew a desk lamp could be so cute? that's so cool how once you start watching, you completely forget that that's even what luxo is. he could be a puppy or something, haha.

was reading on studios central and members are saying imagineers have told them that luxo's gonna be making a return real soonish. i hope he's there when we go, i'd be sad otherwise.

If not, I wonder if the disappearance has to do with the lawsuit? Which is funny, cause Luxo Jr. probably sold more Luxo's than anything the company that makes them has done lately.

i think the whole lawsuit is ridiculous. whatever they get out of the settlement, if there is one, i hope its enough to last them the rest of their desk lamp-selling career because if it weren't for pixar or disney, i wouldn't even know what or who luxo is. i'm sure a lot of people would agree. sure, they made the desk lamp but pixar/disney made it a collectible for numerous disney fans and movie buffs who see it as something more than that.

I heard something about the lawsuit today (on the /Filmcast), dunno if I believe it was true though, but supposedly Luxo told Disney not to make any Luxo merchandise. I find that kind of hard to believe, but ya know.

So it looks like Luxo is back up, must have not had anything to do with the lawsuit.
