so far, i'm loving:

found all of idol's episodes here. watching all of season 9 from the very beginning. here are my notes from the first episode. =)

American Idol -- Season 9

Episode 1 -- Boston auditions

haha, oh dear god, i love the auditions...they're FRICKEN' AWESOME!

awe, yay maddieee! i like her. looking at her standing in front of the judges she shows her age in nervousness and the whole star struck thing, but when she sings it's like she matures about 10 years and that nervousness kind of melts away.

okay... holla boy is annoying. wait, okay.. yeah, cracking up now. "he's sassy, he's sassy simon!"

i think their decision making is better than last year. then again, it's only the first episode, haha.

okay funny that i made that last comment, cause i disagree with amadeo getting through. dude can sure put down a plate of bowtie pasta though. did you see all that food?!

they're playing enigma, this will be funny. hahahaha. he's so nasally! he's like a whole boyband in one body, i think i heard justin timberlake in there somewhere.

dang, she has a big forehead.

haha, anime girl has a better chance of making it in japan. making kimonos. sushi even.

luke shaffer reminds me of chahhhhh-lie, only with a smaller shnoz. i wasn't blown away but i think he has potential. same with benjamin.

andrew fenlon... clark kent? i think so. -- haha, what an asshole. of course simon says yes. ..hahah, "you need a spanking!" okay, kara is my favorite judge right now. =p

ashley has an amazing voice. usually people who go for songs by artists like alicia keys try to mimick their voice. i like how she didn't.

the treeclimber is impressive. didn't expect that at all, haha. don't think he'll make it after he gets to hollywood, but he sings well.

lisa also surprised me...in a bad way. i thought she was going to blow the judges away, but no. haha.

it burns burns burrrrns thuh rang'a fahrrrr..

haha, that girl talks like gilly.

i can't believe randy said no to mike. he wasn't the greatest i heard but he was passable for sure.
and come on, he has a boat he calls codzilla. shitty singer or not, that's a for sure pass.

katie, by far my favorite this episode. her story about her gram made me tear up hardcore. i really hope she makes it far.

this show can't go a single season without a goody goody guy-next-door puppy dog goochy goo. joshua blaylock is this season's goochy goo.

haha hey look, it's marlboro man.

justin is good. he has that old school sorta sinatra twang in his voice. i can see him doing maroon 5 (or better yet, as tall as lions) in the future if he makes it after hollywood. i'd like to hear that. =)

victoria's haircut is really cute.

lmao@ simon. he does look like latoya jackson. or a morph of prince and latoya.

i like bosa a lot. not my favorite male voice tonight by far but his family is sweet.

leah is definitely one of the best this episode. the little jazzy thing she does with her voice kinda makes me lean further towards her as my absolute favorite this ep. i'll be rooting for her for sure.

American Idol -- Season 9

Episode 2 -- Atlanta auditions

haha oh man, i can't believe that's ryan seacrest as a kid. American Idol Hopefuls Ryan10

mary j. blige is an amazing r&b artist, but i remember her being incredibly boring.

whoa, kia kinda blew me away. she's adorable too, i like how she referred to her pick as 'the titanic song' haha.

jermaine, he's the first guy that's really stood out to me so far. incredible voice and amazing control over it. =)

christie sounds like she's more for promoting "411: the show.." not getting a golden ticket.

vanessa is so cute, in the hickiest country bumpkin way possible, haha. i'm so sad she didn't get further. her first audition really wasn't bad, it was authentic country and people would have liked her.. and so would have the judges if she hadn't let her nerves get to her during her second audition.

jesse hamilton is just annoying the second time around with his many supposed near death experiences.

guitar girl is way better than i remember. her voice is way stronger when she sings than when she talks. you don't expect what comes out when she sings.

haha the kid doing the song from mulan sounds like kermit the frog.. a flamboyant kermit the frog.

mallorie did really well, i like her look too. she doesn't look overdone like a ton of the girls i've seen so far.

ughhh, this guy again. skiboski babeh. if i don't watch him while he's performing and try my best to block out his skiboski stuff, he's not bad. i just wish he'd shut up otherwise caus ehe doesn't make any sense. =\

oh jeesh, the bff's. i like how they totally shrug off the insults just to get through to hollywood, 'miss annoying', 'the ditzies', haha. the one that didn't make it is so plotting bff's death. think she'll come along with her like the one dude did.. last season or was it the seaosn before? he stayed there in the audience and rooted for him the whole time. i seriously doubt we'llbe seeing her again, haha.

bryan walker (the policeman) is also way better than i remember him being. in fact he's way up there with jermaine for me.

lamar just gave me a headache. goodbye lamar, hello advil.

haha oh larry, you are the man. forget idol, lets make him president instead.

and just because i have to:

Episode 3 -- Chicago

i'm not huge into country at all but i've always had a lot of respect for shaniah twain, i think she's an incredibly down to earth artist.

katelyn, hmm..what's her tattoo of? she reminds me of joss stone from when she was blonde and she's not far from similarity in vocals either.

chicago's the candy capitol of the world? baby, we have to go there.

haha oh my gosh her laugh makes me crack up. lmao@ boob boxing.

wow, i really like charity's voice. it's pleasant. she's super duper dakota fanning-like, but with better teeth. =) i like her.

haha, he totally just did the carlton.

i like angela's personality, hopefully there aren't any setbacks this time. sure the last one was a traffic violation but it was speeding, come on. not my favorite voice, but she seems like a good girl so i hope she gets a better chance this season.

curley.. wtf, i can't even understand the words that he's singing.

brian krause, holy shit, he sounds like a goat strangling on.. ball sack. he's scary too, the kind of scary that may decapitate someone on the bus ride home.

harold has my white knight vibrator in his throat, i'd say the speed's on about 2-3.

haha shaniah's smitten and i think a little bit drunk.. john surprised me, the best male voice this episode but i don't think that's saying much.

Paige has potential, i expected her to sound a lot more poppy but she went for soul. haha, the girls are pleading for her to get through like a little kid begging their mom for a puppy at the pet store.

Episode 4 -- Orlando

haha, theo, wow.. "i'm just something you can get a piece of on monday, and on tuesday when you put it in the microwave and warm it up, it's still good" ..that line won me over.

kara and kristin are hilarious together.. has chenowith done any voices for pixar or other animated movies? cause i know i've heard her voice somewhere before. they mentioned glee, i can't place her in glee...who does she play?

haha awe, 'can we go get presents?' -- seth, great great voice. i like it a lot. i totally agree with kara, you kinda want him to just keep singing.

whoa, how did jermaine #2 not make it through to hollywood during season 7? remind me to look for him on youtube later. he sounded incredible.

i LOVE shelby. her story is great, i like her voice a lot and she's got balls. most people in a similar situation would be too self-conscious to get up in front of the world and sing. even something as small as waitressing i feel would probably be looked upon as a huge obstacle, but she does it.

i kinda like jay stone. if they can let blake through they can at least take this guy to hollywood. i know you hated blake, and this guys, i know he's not the most amazing singer, but he isn't horrible at it. beatboxing is huge right now, and it brings something different to the table.

janell, way up there with my favorite female voices this season. sounded great during orlando audition but sounds absolutely amazing in hollywood (i know, a little ahead of myself, but that's okay cause i saw that episode already =p) i can't wait to see what else she does!

lmao, cornelious, 'my pants done rip'.. sounds like he busted his balls on the way down too.

whoa, they're from cherry hill. i lived in cherry hill! these are the girls you asked me if i knew aren't they? haha. i say yes to yellow and no to blue. but of course they both get in...

hahah, i remember this guy. jarrod, the one that sounds like he swallowed a sheep whole and it's coming back up for revenge. ..ama-a-a-a-a-a-azing gra-a-a-a-a-ace...

matt lawrence, they come off as if this is a guy whose life has changed completely because he committed a horrible crime and the time he did helped him to see the light. he robbed a bank with a bb gun when he was 15. a paintball gun would have done more damage. this annoys me, he better do blues traveler or i'm done with him.

Fun fact, @KChenoweth (that's her on twitter) is 4'11". She is in the Tinker Bell movies and has been in several other movies, but is mainly known as a theater actress, as a matter of fact she was one of the original stars of Wicked.

She sang in this song, but not the main part, that we loved Lea Michele doing in Glee:

Fun fact #2: Idina Menzel and Kristen will both be on the 2nd half of this season of Glee. Lea says Idina is one of her idols.

Kara not really not on board with Howard Stern:

Quote :
But then she did: "I don't know that [Stern] has a musical background," she mused. "I think that if you're gonna replace Simon, you have to have that background."

Hour 1

first girl (Jessica something) - decent.

Jermaine Purifoy - decent.

Casey James - decent.

Shavon (sp) - pretty nice voice.

Crystal Bowersox - "yeh-yeh" that cracked me up, awful.

Alex Lambert - Indie meh shit. Side street singing.

Big Mike - Liked before, train wreck here.

Todrick Hall - Sounds like he was kicked in the balls before he went on stage.

Thaddeus Johnson - Karaoke. Not a song you want to sing unless your initials are MJJ.

Charity Vance - Couple of "pitch problems". Liked overall though.

Tasha - Pretty good.

Marv - Love her and her confidence. Reminds me of a short haired Dushku. (highlight for spoilers) WTF WTF stupid people.

Lloyd Thomas - Man in the Mirror isn't a gospel song.

Hope Johnson - Vapid. Lame voice and zero stage presence. (highlight for spoilers) Glad she didn't make it.

Shelby Dressel - Agree with you, cute girl, has troubles remembering lyrics could hurt her. Best voice I've heard so far tonight.

Aaron Kelly - Welp, he's gone. Haha. (highlight for spoilers) Or he made it to the top 24 WTF.

Ashley Rodriguez - My favorite. Great voice and stage presence.

Lee Dewyze - Eh.

Joe Munoz - Ugh!

Haeley Vaughn - Cute girl, could be a dark horse.

Janell Wheeler - Couple of flat moments, pretty good though.

Tori Kelly - Not bad.

Lilly Scott - Decent.

Andrew Garcia - I hate this fucking douche bag.

Hour 2 - Highlight for spoilers

Top 24

Guys

1.) Big Mike - yay Big Mike! haha picking up Ellen! Love him!
2.) Casey James - Kara has so fucked him, the leg lift.
3.) Aaron Kelly - Meh.
4.) Lee Dewyze - Meh, but they just passed a meh through so why not?
5.) Todrick Hall - Haha. "Um, yes."

Girls
1.) Didi (Dede?) - One of the good sob stories.
2.) Katelyn Epperly - 2 bad performances, one good. Haha Ellen!

Didn't make it

Shelby Dressel - She makes funny faces. Better than Katelyn, should have made it.
Jessica Furrey - No stage performance. Decent voice though and with the shit they're putting through they may as well. Agree with her, she should have been put through.

Overall, super disappointed in the selections, only love Big Mike so far.

Top 24 - Girls

(missed first girl)

Ashley Rodriguez - She was my favorite before tonight but this had a boring opening and was kind of just all over the place.

Janell Wheeler - Not much of a stage presence, kind of flat and she forgot words.

Also DAMN IT SIMON BE MEAN!

Lilly Scott - I'm feeling (old?) Simon-esque, it was awful.

Katelyn Epperly - Karaoke night @ Idol, $5 draws all night!

Haeley Vaughn - A little pitchy, but I think that actually works for her voice. My favorite of the night to this point.

What is with the united judges? Boooorriiing!

Lacey Brown - tx, wooo! Hmm, not a fan, in fact her voice kind of annoys me. yay, mean Simon kind of back for these last two girls!

Michelle Delamor - No stage performance, not a bad voice though.

Didi Benami - Thought her Kara performance was sucking up in the worst way, this was awful though.

Siobhan Magnus - Haha, this girl is weird. I can't tell if she's foreign or retarded. There's something about her though, some kind of presence. The singing in this performance was good, the performance itself was boring and had no energy. She is unique.

Crystal Bowersox - More like Crystal Boringsox amirite?

Katie Stevens - Wow, completely disagree with the judges. Haha I hope she never dances again, other than that she has an amazing voice, the competition is hers to lose IMO. Could be the biggest thing Idol has produced since Carrie Underwood.

Overall, the girls were weak as hell tonight, none of the performances amazed me. Haeley, Siobhan and Katie were the standouts, the rest were meh to terrible. If I had to guess I would say Lacey and Crystal are gone.

First to go home.

Girls:
Janell Wheeler - your fav at start of the show.
Ashley Rodriguez - my fav at the start of the show haha.

Guys:
Joe Munoz - aka Eli Roth that butchers MJ songs. He beat the guy that butchered the song you like and I was making fun of.
Tyler Grady - The Van Morrison wannabe, guess America didn't want to be on his planet.

Top 20 - Guys

So tonight, the girls were actually supposed to be performing, but Crystal Bowersox had to go to the hospital for some reason, so the guys took over. This week is Billboard songs.

Big Mike - Such a likeable guy, but I wasn't initially crazy about this performance. Thought about it a bit and he's definitely one of the guys to beat.

John Park - Not bad, he improved over last week. Focused on emotion and I thought he was okay.

Casey James - *sheep sound* He's a bit of a trainwreck, but at least he's fun and he's a decent guitarist.

Alex Lambert - Looks more comfortable, still not a great singer. Sounds like a singing troll doll.

Todrick Hall - Doesn't quite have the voice to pull a song like that off. Still like him.

Jermaine Sellers - Doesn't matter, God will save him. Seriously though, this is one of my favorite songs and you need to kill it, he did just okay. Agree with Kara.

Andrew Garcia - Mouthing I love you before commercial, he's graduated from bag to douchelord! Terrible. I hope a meteor falls on his heart.

Aaron Kelly - Oh no, he's becoming David Archuleta! Another sheep! American Idol, the show that loves to butcher my favorite songs.

Tim Urban - No stage presence, but 100x better singing (aka average).

Lee Dewyze - Nice voice, but this was kind of weak, he clearly wants to be David Cook.

If I were to guess I would say that John Park and Jermaine Sellers are out. If there was justice in this world (there's not, things like what happen in Mysterious Skin happen) then it would be Andrew Garcia. Also on the bubble is Tim Urban, but he might get the teeny bopper vote one more week.

Top 20 - Girls

Crystal Bowersox - She's already pretty predictable, she should smoke a bowl or something. She is a good singer and probably the girl to beat.

Haeley Vaughn - She's so likeable, but I agree with Kara in that she needs another year. She started off good and then I wasn't crazy about the rest, to the point where I now appreciate Miley's talent a lot more.

Lacey Brown - Definite improvement over last week, but if this is her song, she didn't knock it out of the park like she would need to.

Katie Stevens - Ugh, don't listen to the judges, copycat performance based off their suggestions and she has a better voice than that. Conspiracy theory: the judges are trying to push her off the show.

Didi Benami - Ratard. Haven't been a fan of hers but I really really liked her tonight. The ending was a little all over the place and damn, Ryan was all up in that.

Michelle Delamor - Interesting song choice. Decent, but she didn't kill it the way you need to with a risk like that.

Lilly Scott - Forgot she was even still in this, agree with Randy calling her indie, which just isn't my style of music.

Kately Epperly - Was not moved, but she has a real nice voice.

Paige Miles - Must be the girl I missed last week, cause I don't remember her at all. Bit of a copycat, brings to mind that image of Kelly Clarkson. Good voice.

Siobhan Magnus - THANK YOU SIOBHAN!!!!111one I finally care about this season thanks to her. That note. That note! Wow! The rest of the performance wasn't amazing but if that note shows her potential, she is my personal fav and I finally voted for someone (thankfully the phone lines were pretty busy too, I got in at least 5 votes though). She's awesome!

Thought like the guys, the girls stepped it up, with Siobhan being the leader in my eyes at least, though the judges favorite is obviously Crystal. My guess is that Haeley and Didi are gone, even though I liked Didi this week the judges really seemed not to.

PostSubject: Re: American Idol Hopefuls   American Idol Hopefuls I_icon_minitimeMarch 5th 2010, 02:48

just watched the top 12 girls perform, here's my thoughts!

Top 12 Girls --

haha, i love ellen. 'simon.. simon, he wants me..'

page miles -- the mic sounds a little off or something.. it's kind of annoying. she overdid it completely i think. if she had kept the 'rahhh ahh yay-ehh-ehh-ehhhh!!!!!!' more tame, i think i would have liked the performance more.

ashley rodriguez -- actually, this is the first time i've really gotten the chance to hear her sing. super cute girl, she's like the way cuter version of kim kardashian. she has a really nice voice, i liked it much better than page's performance because i didn't feel like she was trying to shove her talent down my throat.

janell wheeler -- ack..definitely rocky, not good at all. her second performance blew me away but now i'm just sad. based on this performance alone, she deserves (i know i know, she's been booted already =\) to go home, but i think the majority of it was jitters. i can't believe they're giving her better feedback than ashley. seriously?

lilly scott -- you're right, she's pretty butch haha. i'm excited to hear her again though because i love her style of singing. the voice is definitely there but she's not really staying in tune with the music, know what i mean? it's like she's either singing too fast or too slow to keep up with the music. haven't decided yet. i like her a lot though.

katelyn epperly -- ack, what is she wearing? i think she has a great voice, there's a few tweaks that could have been made but she's definitely got potential.

haeley vaughn -- i REALLY liked this one. she's so adorable, and she put her own little spin on the song that made it so much fun to listen to. my butt was totally dancing and my toes were tapping. =) this one made me really happy. haha ellen, 'if it was a mess it was a hot mess!'

lacey brown -- yeah, i don't really know what to say about this one, i just don't like it at all. boring, didn't like her voice, and a first for this episode, i agree with simon..super depressing.

michelle delamor -- damn, this girl can really sing. i agree with ellen though, she either played it really safe or sang it so well she made it look like a piece of cake. i want to see her sing something that hasn't been sang so many times before though just to see if she can still nail it.

didi benami -- she kinda reminds me of michelle trachtenberg. i love this song and her voice is perfect for it. bs call, bs bs bs. so you're telling me there isn't about 10 other voices on the radio that you can actually pick apart from daughtry? i would have voted for her.

siobhan magnus -- she's definitely the oddball out of the bunch, but i think she may have the most powerful voice so far too. i'd like to pair her and delamor together and have them perform back to back. problem is the general audience, i think, are more likely to pick the more commercial (michelle) one. ..haha omg, did seacrest say what i think he just said? 'we all knew she could blow (because of the glass)...because she's an apprentice..'

crystal bowsersox -- she's good because she knows what is expected of her, but in a way that she ends up picking songs that for some reason doesn't have them say 'ohhh, well i wouldn't have picked THAT song, i think you'd be better off singing [insert artist name here].

katie stevens -- she's like the more tame version of tatiana del toro. i don't wanna say this is what tatiana *should* have been because i wouldn't have changed a thing about her, haha. but she does look a lot like her. anyway though, not my favorite performance of hers but her voice is pretty insane.

girls that, after the episode has had time to sink in, i would have voted for:

lilly
didi
siobhan

Guys:
John Park - I called this one! It sucks because (even though I know you don't like him) I thought he improved week to week. The reason that I said he would go in spite of liking him though (especially in light of guys like Tim coasting on the cuteness vote. This is key, as we saw last year with Kris Allen) is I doubted he had the fanbase to stay.

Jermaine Sellers - Again, I predicted this one, but this time I didn't like the performance that much. Like I said, if you sing that song you have to kill it and he just didn't. That, coupled with the crazies he displayed while being judged, I knew he was a goner.

FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- Gokey! Thanks for showing us that in spite of losing the supposed love of your life, that your best days are ahead of you. Gokey's marriage FTL?

Girls:
Michelle Delamor - Didn't see this coming, I thought she would get by on sheer cojones alone, her performance was okay but far from the worst last night.

Haeley Vaughn - Again, saw this one coming, her talent was just too raw. Miley isn't the best singer of the world, but after Haeley's performance I went and listened to Miley's version of The Climb and it was about a billion times better. You could tell by the other peoples reactions they loved her and its a shame because she is so likeable.

Called 3/4 this week, could I be...the next...American...Idol...judge after Simon leaves?

Lacey better watch it for next week, she's been in the bottom 2 weeks in a row, after supposedly singing a perfect song for her voice. She's gone next week if she doesn't improve dramatically.

PostSubject: Re: American Idol Hopefuls   American Idol Hopefuls I_icon_minitimeMarch 5th 2010, 23:03

top 10 guys:

big mike -- oh man, i'm loving him right now. i liked mike from the very beginning but now he's definitely the guy i want to see make it to the end. i guess that isn't saying much, haha, i mean look at the talent (or lack thereof) we have.. but i loved this performance. i WISH i could have seen him last night so that i could have voted.

john park -- he has a band called purple haze...? ahahahaha. *ahem* gee, i would have never guessed english was your second language, korean boy. the indie swoop (hair) you do totally had me fooled. i'm sorry, i can't take him seriously. YOU LOSE, or wait.. *searches babelfish.com* ..넘어서 게임!!!

casey james -- god i hate his voice. if i wanted to hear what comes out of his mouth, i'd go to new zealand where the sheep are plentiful. i really like the song, it's just that.. you know, he sucked at it. he thought people were going to cream their bloomers over his guitar, then when they didn't, he got all cocky and stuff.

alex lambert -- haha, what a weirdo. i wish i had my own language. the mini mullet irks me but he's not that bad. i don't remember him sounding like this his last performance. haha, randy said he liked his package. randy's like one of those people that get old and try to keep up with the 'cool' lingo but end up failing miserably.

todrick hall -- can't say i remember this guy at all. pretty drab performance overall, his voice is super shaky and way too pitchy for my liking. he's a likeable guy for sure, just not one that's meant to be cut out for the competition. and i agree with ellen. if he was to 'just sing' the judges would pin the 'no stage performance!' on him...which i didn't really see him have anyway, haha. oh well.

ugh, to be honest i think a big portion of the drastic ups and downs we see are in a way the judges fault. they confuse the hell out of me, i'm sure they confuse the contestants just as much if not more.

jermaine sellers -- haha, his onesie, he rocks it. i liked him so much in the beginning, and when i say the beginning i mean the very first audition. what happened since then? is there something in the water? -- haha, what the flippin ef? randy, just stfu. 'ohhh dawg, you're so close yet so far' .. wtf is that? 'marvin gay wasn't THAT, he wasn't a gospel singer, yadda yadda' what the hell, don't they want to see them NOT mimick the original artists of the songs they're performing? to give their own little spin on it? randy needs to go work on americas best dance crew where you know...he's never present. he's basically just a name tagged to the title.

okay. *ahem* sorry.. i'm done. anyway, i really like jermaine, but he needs to step it back up to where he was before.

andrew garcia -- phew, gettin' winded there fat boy? don't like this at all. i liked his version of fall out boy's sugar we're goin down a lot more, and that's not saying much at all.

aaron kelly -- this to me sounds like horrible karaoke. he's definitely going to be one of the ones leaving, he HAS to be. the goochy goo appeal or whatever he has going on for him can't save him. goddamn you, randy. just goddamn you. 'DUDE, YOU CAN REALLY SING!' i'm so mad right now. kara, wtf, he has a great vibrato. are you KIDDING me?!

okay i need a break. gonna take a break to just calm down and re-collect myself and then i'll watch the rest because oh my gosh, i'm getting so heated right now.

tim urban -- second best performance next to big mike tonight. doesn't mean i was crazy about it.

lee dewyze -- okay first off, the song choice. he's on my shit list. i hate this song. tim urban's out, lee is second best tonight. ugh this song makes me sick.

thank you top 10 (-big mike of course) and randy for wanting to make me break your face.

top 10 girls:

lol oh god, shut up randy. you know nothing...you hear me? NOTHING.

crystal bowsersox -- i love that she has the little trinket pouch she keeps with her in her pocket. that makes me like her more. i think i've really warmed up to her with this performance (don't hurt me!) she obviously has the talent, and a new style that hasn't (at least that i've seen) been brought forth from idol. i love the soul sound in her voice, and to perform in that way in front of all those people after being in the hospital? i'd of voted for her. -- good point simon makes, she didn't play up the sympathy card and that alone earns points from me, haha.

haeley vaughn -- i loved her last performance, she's too cute..haha. 'i don't..know..how to not..smile' good for her, she's enjoying herself. she's super shakey here and there on the long notes but, vaughn>miley any day of the week. let's all remember people, if her daddy wasn't the achey breaky guy, she would not be where she is today. ..also, i hate that her little lisp is going to be an obstacle. randy, stfu, YOU'RE excrutiating. BAM, MOTHERFUCKER! -- i say if she doesn't make it on idol, we send her to disney.

lacey brown -- her hobby is awesome. i'd love to do something like that. when she leaves she should open up a shop and sale her projects that she's refurbished. she sounds a lot better this performance but she's still got a ways to go. i can't believe i still know this song word for word, haha. her eyes are so beautiful. haha, ellen is so cute, she always tells them all that she likes them. okie, i'm drifting further and further away from the subject. done now. wait, no i'm not.. simon is right in saying it wasn't memora- wait, what?

katie stevens -- haha, she's adorable. okay so it wasn't amazing but her version of this song? WAY better than megan's from last season. i think she started out super strong. see what i mean? they tell her the song she sang last time was too old for her, she sings put your records on this time and then randy tells her to go with bigger songs. what the hell?

didi benami -- i love her voice, i didn't remember much before her last performance so it was hard to really understand or agree when the judges pinned her as one of the mimickers trying to sound like the artist she was covering. randy you racist motherfucker. look at him, 'ohhh you shouldn't have picked a song with so much soul' -- to be honest though, at first i thought the song may be too slow paced for her and she wouldn't be able to stay with it, but i thought she sounded great. i don't get it. wtf, screeching? really?

michelle delamor -- such a likeable girl, she definitely seems real. HUGE surprise for song choice. didn't expect her to go with creed but i think it worked out. kara's awesome right now, finally someone that i agree with.

lilly scott -- SUPER excited to hear lilly again, definitely one of my favorite female voices this season. okay, hmm. not my favorite..in fact it's my least favorite by her, but if someone had told me this was what her song choice would be i wouldn't have even been able to even imagine it. the judges are on crack i tell you.

katelyn epperly -- i love this song. thinking about it makes me think of wicker park and thinking of wicker park and that last scene makes me want to cry. beautiful, beautiful voice. so i guess they're only allowed to sing one style of song now. i think kris allen has dumbed them down by a ton and a half.

paige miles -- oh man, i love to color too!! songs like this i think are easier to sing than the slower, more soulful ones because there's so many jumps and bounces that when there's a flaw it can be easily hidden...does that makes sense? i don't know. holy shit, i agree with randy right now. i want to hear her sing the high and long notes. i think the tougher songs are the ones that pick the talent apart from the ones that just haven't got it.

siobhan magnus -- haha she's nuts, i likes her a lot. her hair is really cute. she has a blast when she's on stage, you can definitely tell. she sounded absolutely amazing, still can't get over how different she sounds when she isn't singing. not a bad thing at all, but it still surprises me. she's one strange cookie.

American Idol Hopefuls Empty
PostSubject: Re: American Idol Hopefuls   American Idol Hopefuls I_icon_minitimeMarch 11th 2010, 10:18

Didn't get to check the girls performances out last night, so I caught up with them on the official website. So I don't know what the judges said or anything cause I'm too lazy and don't care enough this year to read that. With that said, it's weird cause I thought the girls rocked last week and sucked this week. Whereas I thought the guys sucked last week and were much better this week. It's like they swap suckiness.

Top 8 Girls

Crystal Bowersox - Her makeover was better last week. Girl can sing but she's so predictable! Whoa, the last half was kind of terrible.

Didi Benami - I felt like I was in a Borders bookstore listening to some random person. Back to not liking her.

Katelyn Epperly - Eh, I felt like Simon for that one. Like I should just take a drink of my iced tea that I'm drinking. Yum, it's good. Hot tea would be good right now with the storm too. Maybe with some honey. MMmmm.

Katie Stevens - Uh oh. The conspiracy judges will kill her for this one. Beginning a mess. Hmm, some fleeting good moments. She's probably gone. You can't come on Idol and not nail a Kelly Clarkson song.

Lacey Brown - Hmm, okay she's gone. Honestly she should have been gone in the first elimination week. Ack. ACK! STOP! Just stop singing a minute into it, bow and say, "Thanks America for this opportunity, sorry I suck!"

Lilly Scott - Oh man, she looks like the dude from The Princess Bride!

American Idol Hopefuls 16151-10

Well, haha this is what you meant by she sounds like an old timey singer. To me, this sounds like it should have been in Juno. I hate the music in Juno.

Paige Miles - There's been a lot of good versions of that song (Michael Jackson covered it very well), its my older sisters favorite song, so I've heard a bunch of them. This was okay, nothing great or anything.

Siobhan Magnus - I think by far she has the best voice of the girls and this was the best performance by the girls for this week but it was just kind of okay, didn't blow me away like last week. She is the only reason I'm watching though. When she goes so do I.

The girls were weaksauce this week. There were full of fail, epic fail even.

Top 8 Guys

Lee Dewyze - Sounded nasally, what happened to the "smokiness" of his voice? I suck at singing and I might be able to put in a better performance. Uh, wtf are the judges smoking? He seems likeable though.

Alex Lambert - Looks so much more comfortable week by week out there. Favorite performance of his so far, rooting for him cause he seems likeable. Haha mushy banana.

Tim Urban - Oh The OC song! How was he so terrible the first week? He's actually not bad at all. He has vampire bite marks on his neck. Haha Ellen!

Andrew Garcia can fucking DIE!!!! He's such a fucking gimmick. Is he not a joke? Seriously? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- YES! Simon is coming around! Fuck no he's not cool, DOUCHE! Learn it. Love it. And he's fat.

Casey James - Whoa, real good til the backup singers kicked in and overwhelmed his voice. Should have dropped them because his vocal was real good. Who cares if it was safe if it was good you fatass? Agree with Simon, not memorable but really good.

Aaron Kelly - What? Do not understand his first three sentances. Ugh, quit thrusting Disney Channel. Doesn't have the voice for this song, but he'll be Top 5. Haha Simon saying what we were about him.

Todrick Hall - Eep, beginning. This song was done on Glee very well. I love Glee, it needs to be April so Glee comes back on TV. Shame because he works the stage better than anyone else in this competition. Agree with Simon.

Big Mike - WTF. The beginning. Didn't like at all until he took the mic off the stand. Kind of a mess. WHAT. I need to watch it again I guess, I must be getting a different feed or something than everybody else when it comes to him, haven't really liked him the last two weeks.

If I had to guess I would say that Katie and Lacey are gone for the girls and Todrick and *fingers crossed* Andrew for the guys.

My fury will know no bounds if Siobhan is booted and Andrew Garcia stays.

Top 12

Big Mike - Once again, just not a fan of his. Like the dude, not crazy about his singing.

Didi Benami - Liked her a bit til the "big" note, sometimes I like her, sometimes not.

Casey James - Kind of a mess.

Lacey Brown - Who is she sucking off to stay on this show?

Andrew Douche - Started off terrible, stayed terrible.

Katie Stevens - I think her confidence is shot, she's done.

Tim Urban - His voice is limited, but he is so much better now than he was.

Siobhan Magnus - Kind of like the beginning of her David Bowie cover. I would buy her album. That last note wasn't as good as the other one, but still impressive. Disagree with Kara, she's more interesting than Adam Lambert.

Lee Dewyze - Very pitchy. Didn't like.

Paige Miles - Reminds me of Lisa Tuttle (sp?) from Saved by the Bell. Second best voice next to Siobhan, boring though. Great for the voice problems. Cute moment at the end.

Aaron Kelly - Really is Archuleta 2.0. Only not as good.

Crystal Bowsersox - What? Playing acoustic? That's weird. About what I expected.

Elimination Night

Weird opening. Where was Ryan and "This...is American Idol"?

I think if they get a great replacement for Simon (I know they can never fully replace him) I think this show will be all right, I think Seacrest is more important to the show than we think.

Safe to open the show: Lee Dewyze.

Paige in the bottom 3.

David Cook - Who is this guy? New contestant? This is the best singer I've heard on this show in the last two seasons!!!! Seriously though, Lee Dewyze is creaming himself right now.

Siobhan - Love her style.

Safe: Siobhan, Aaron Kelly, Andrew Douche.

Tim in the bottom 3.

Orianthi - Love her and love this song. She is what Avril wants to be. Live voice has a hint of Alanis. Her success gives me hope for America. Not a very good interview though, haha.

Safe = Didi Benami, Crystal Bowsersox.

Whoa Kara and Randy switched seats, wtf?

Safe = Katie Stevens, Big Mike, Casey James.

Lacey in the bottom 3. Tim safes. Paige, Lacey the bottom 2.

Ke$ha - I've seen her perform live twice, she does the same moves no matter the song, drunkenly stumbling around. Her success destroys the hope that Orianthi built. When will Texas secede again?

Lacey maybe going home. Put her out her misery.

They do. Whew.

Top 11 - Billboard #1's

Miley Cyrus was the person giving advice out tonight.

Lee Dewyze - Kind of the Danny Gokey of this year, good voice, just not into him. Decent.

Paige Miles - Eeeek! She has a beautiful voice, but this was all over the place, could be in danger. Agree with Randy and Simon.

Tim Urban - can't win, but again he is so much better than he was. First guy performance in awhile that I've liked. Psst judges, Zac Efron is relevant.

Disney Channel - Singing I Don't Want to Miss a Thing. Forgot some lyrics. If High School Musical 8 covered this song, he could be the star (aka terrible teeny bopper version). Randy is an 11 year old girl. WTF judges are high. Haha Ryan called him David Archuleta!

The Bowser Sox - Singing Janis Joplin Whaaaaaaaaaattttttt? She is one of the Top 2. And has Bowser Sox. Agree with Ellen, she has Melinda Doolittle syndrome. I'm warming up to her though, which I never did with Melinda, the carpet gave her some personality.

Big Mike - Getting preditable too, like Bowser Sox. Good performance which I liked better than recent weeks, predictable though. Agree with Kara.

Douche Lord - <-- Enough said. Agree with Simon!

Katie Stevens - Haha dork! Had the most to learn from Miley and Miley gave her a huge boost of confidence, because she's back. Not completely in it, but she's in the show again. Thought she was actually better than Fergie singing her own song. Glad the judges liked her, I gave her a couple votes.

Casey James - Power of Love, perfect song choice. It had two real weak moments and he never busted the song out the way he could have. Average.

Didi Benami - Has a swagger. Two weeks in a row I've liked her, record! Completely disagree with the judges.

Awesomeness - haha, she's so awesome. She's by far the best. Made the song her own and current. Fuck Simon, she was awesome.

I think Paige is gone.

Results Night

Thought they were going to skip it again, they didn't though. "This...is American Idol bananananananareeeeeeeeer".

Group song - Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go. As good as these can get, I guess.

Safe - Siobhan

Bottom 3 - Paige and Tim, repeats from last week.

Miley - Turrible. Haha, wtf, she needs to learn you can't just head bang to every song.

Safe - Casey James, Lee Dewyze, Aaron Kelly, Didi Benami, Michael Lynch.

Bottom 3 - Katie Stevens.

Took a cat nap for whoever was the other guest performance, so I don't know about it.

Katie safe.

Tim safe. Simon tells Paige no chance she's staying.
