| oh man, that's insane (about the water). does it have to be by lou or can i find any trivia to put here? i'm kinda glad they don't have live animals in that ride. it's supposed to be silly, right? the animatronics only add to the silliness i'm sure. | |

| Nah, go ahead and put any trivia you want to here.
Haha uh huh, it's a charming ride and the animals would add an unpredictable element to it, which would ruin it since, well, haha I don't want to ruin the magic.

| Disney-MGM Studios was an accident... sort of...
The idea for the Studios theme park was due in part to a pavilion that was planned for Epcot.
Disney Imagineers planned a pavilion for Future World focusing on the movies and Hollywood. It would have a ride-through attraction, similar to the "Great Movie Ride," and am Audio-Animatronic, behind-the-scenes history of the making of Mickey Mouse cartoons called "Mickey's Movieland."
Not long after he took over as the "Head Mouse" at Disney, Michael Eisner realized the enormous potential for more than just a single pavilion (with maybe a little inspiration from the people at Universal Studios... you know, the ones that were building the theme park up the street...) and Disney-MGM (now Disney's Hollywood) Studios was born.

| Makes you wonder how many ideas the Imagineers have like that!

| wowzers, that's pretty nuts!
When the Polynesian Resort opened, they had installed a wave machine on the seven seas lagoon. Severe beach erosion occurred, so it was quickly turned off, but the machine was never removed and is still installed under the water.
